Reach out to your network to share the importance of this program for Michigan's schoolchildren, farmers, and local food businesses. Letting them know the virtues of the program is a great way to ensure that 10 Cents A Meal For Michigan's Kids & Farms can be continued or expanded to serve more children and businesses.

Support your school to grow a successful Farm to School program and secure 10 Cents grant funds.
As of the 2017-2018 school year, the program is available in Michigan Prosperity Regions 2, 4 and 9. Check here to see if your school is in an eligible region. If your school isn’t in one of those 29 counties, it’s never too early to start or grow a small Farm to School program so your district is better prepared when grant opportunities come up.
Reach out to your community!
Meet with your PTA or parent-teacher organization, School Board, or Farm Bureau chapter. Others potential advocates are health and wellness workers and business or economic development officials. And of course be sure to talk with your hard-working school Food Service directors, Superintendents, Principals, Teachers and Support Staff.
You can find a wealth of food service, education and farm business success stories and ideas in a report you can download here. You’ll also find success stories here.
